Democracy In America |
( FYI-To
Serve And Protect Is Just A Myth ):
Police have no legal duty to respond and prevent crime or protect the
victim !
There have BEEN OVER 10 various supreme and state court cases the
individual has never won. Notably, the Supreme Court STATED about the
responsibility of police for the security of your family and loved ones is
"You, and only you, are responsible for your security and the security of
your family and loved ones.
That was the essence of a U.S. Supreme Court decision in the early 1980's
when they ruled that the police do not have a duty to protect you as an
individual, but to protect society as a whole."

I have a question for all of the Americans who are reading this.
Are you part of a Democracy or do you just live in one ?
If you didn't understand the question, chances
are that you just live in a Democracy. Please allow me to
elaborate... Just living in a Democracy doesn't make you part of
the Democratic process.
To be a part of the Democracy that we live in,
you have to play a part in our Democratic process. First off, you
must vote if you are eligible to !
In our last Presidential Election in November
of 2000...
209,128,094 - American's could
have voted,
105,405,100 - American's voted...... 50,456,002 - American's voted for Bush. Just over half of eligible Americans voted, and more than half who voted DID NOT vote for Bush.
In addition to voting, it is part of
our job as American's to learn all that we can about politics and
the people that are running for elected positions.
(I don't like politics much
either) It's our responsibility as Americans to learn about and to
be a part of our Democratic process.
Look at it like this... "Reading and
voting is much easier than picking up a gun and shooting at people
that are shooting back at you". Our military men, many of our
fathers and forefathers have had to defend out Democracy with guns
and bombs so that America would remain 'The Land of The Free and
Home of The Brave'.
Looking at it like that, I really
don't think that it is asking too much of the rest of us, to ask us
to Vote, read, learn about, and at times, write letters to our
Elected officials on all levels of our Government. Do You ?
Below is an example of what I am
talking about. It is a letter that I wrote to General Wesley Clark
about a week before he joined the 2004, Presidential race in
September, of 2003.
*************************************
Dear General Wesley Clark,
I have great respect for
Michael Moore,
who would like to see you in the upcoming race for President of our
great nation.
Personally, I have been behind
Dennis Kucinich,
from day one. However, 8 of our 9 Democratic candidates that are
running right now, do NOT have my support.
I see the Bush regime as the most damaging terrorist force that our
country has ever had to deal with. (I use the word regime instead of
the word administration, because that is how our current regime
works. They call any other country with any terrorists or weapons, a
regime government, when in fact, The Republican party in America has
the worlds most dangerous and best funded terrorists in the world,
bar none.) Sadly, young American soldiers pay the ultimate price
almost everyday now, because the Bush party has proven to have a
total disregard for human life.
United we stand... I don't think so ! America hasn't been this
divided since our last civil war.
George Bush says that he believes in God, but actions speak louder
than words. With his actions, put together with all of the 'Legal'
drugs that are in his system everyday, I feel that it's far more
likely or believable, that George thinks he is God.
Our country needs change in leadership worse than it ever has
before, by far. Please Help !
Your reputation proceeds you, and I now think that a U.S. Military
General and the winner of the
2003 Gandhi peace award,
would make the BEST team that we could hope for.
Yes... Clark/Kucinich or a Kucinich/Clark for
President, would be fully supported my myself and most of the people
that I have talked to.
Please consider joining the race, so that your words of wisdom may
be heard.
Thank you for your time...
Peace,
Rev. Neil Colton

I am sure that a few Republicans that read the
above letter, got upset when I said:
"I see the Bush regime as the most damaging
terrorist force, that our country has ever had to deal with". My
answer to you is... "Sometimes the truth hurts" !
If you don't like the fact that well over half
of the citizens of the World see things that way, then do your part
to help change that fact.
It hurt my heart to learn that fact, but it's
true. The Republicans in control of America are very mean and
controlling individuals. To change the image that the Republican
party has as a whole right now, Republicans must change
their priorities from war to peace !
There are a couple fine Democratic candidates running for President. Let's set our sights on November, 2004

P.S. To those in need of knowing
this... I am a registered 'Independent' American voter that
votes based on my conscience, not based of political affiliation.

Lewis County NY Editor's Note: Democracy is just a word. Protecting our
democracy by taking an oath as a law enforcement officer is life
changing work. First and foremost, All law enforcement officers
from the local level up to the F.B.I. and C.I.A., are sworn to
uphold and protect our
Constitution with their lives. I have the utmost respect for
all people in law enforcement who try their best to protect our
flag, our
Constitution and our rights as Americans. They deal with
death, accident victims, gun shot wounds, emotional people, fire
victims, etc... and it's all in a days work. We as a nation would
be no better off than people living in Iraq without policemen. The average American doesn't have to take an oath
to protect our
Constitution, but it's still our patriotic duty to try to
understand it. I've made this as easy as I can, by linking to the
word
Constitution several times in this story. Thousands and
thousands of American men, have gone to wars never to return home
again. Giving their lives in a patriotic way, to protect our
Constitution and keep control freaks at bay. They risked
and gave their lives so that you might stay free and to protect our
Constitution for generations yet to be. Is reading our
Constitution too much to ask of you, when you think about
what our fighting service men have done to protect you? Here's An Example From Michael Moore: From

What is a Billion?
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one
advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into
perspective in one of its releases:
A billion seconds ago - it was 1959.
A billion minutes ago - Jesus was alive
A billion hours ago- our ancestors were living in
the Stone Age.
A billion dollars ago - was only 8 hours and 20
minutes, at the
rate that the Federal Government in Washington D.C. spends it.
