NY news posted on this site is not due to a lack of things happening around
here, but because I feel it's far more important for every member of our armed
forces and every law enforcement officer in the United States to do their sworn
duty of protecting our Constitution and our civil rights. It's simple math...
The crimes in all of Northern NY in the last 200 years combined don't equal the
crimes that our government is ordering everyday from Washington DC. Bush
alone is said to be guilty of breaking over 750 laws that our Constitution very
clearly states no US President can ever break. In fact our
Constitution makes it very clear that it's our military and law enforcements
duty to remove a President from office if they commit any act of treason.
Based on Bush's own words and the wording of our Constitution, he is guilty of
dozens of counts of high treason, as are most of his cabinet members.

The reactionary campaign against knowledge and
information is reaching frightening new heights.
The Environmental Protection Agency has been ordered by the White House to
"shut down libraries, end public access to research materials and box up unique
collections on the assumption that Congress will not reverse President Bush’s
proposed budget reductions." Fifteen states will lose library service
immediately, the rest will follow, and the public is to be turned away as soon
as possible.
Unsurprisingly, EPA scientists are protesting, saying that the lack of access to
data will impair their research and scientific capabilities. The Administration
says its plan is to "centralize" control of all data; EPA scientists say the
real goal is to "suppress information on environmental and public health-related
topics." The Administration is not yet burning books, but they are getting very
close.
AND THE PENTAGON IS TRYING TO STOP WINDFARMS
They're not much fonder of telling the truth -- the whole truth -- over
at the Defense Department. The Department has refused to complete
congressionally ordered studies of the potential security threat to radar
systems from wind turbines. Until it finishes that study, Defense is blocking
all new wind turbines that might help reduce our dependence on what the
President calls our "addiction" to oil and natural gas "often from insecure

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56
men who signed the Declaration of Independence? Five signers were
captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons
serving in the Continental Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the
Revolutionary War. They signed and they pledged their lives, their
fortunes, and their sacred honor. What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine
were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well
educated. But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing
full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader
saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his
home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas
McKean was so hounded by the British that he was forced to
move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress
without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions
were taken from him, and poverty was his reward. Vandals or
soldiers looted the properties of Ellery, Hall, Clymer, Walton,
Gwinnett, Heyward, Rutledge, and Middleton. At the
battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson Jr., noted that the
British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his
headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open
fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt. Francis
Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed
his wife, and she died within a few months. John Hart was
driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children
fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to
waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves,
returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A
few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart.
Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates. Such were
the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution. These were
not wild-eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men
of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty
more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged: "For
the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the
protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each
other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." They gave
you and me a free and independent America. The history books never
told you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. We
didn't fight just the British. We were British subjects at that
time, and we fought our own government! Some of us take these
liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't. So, take a few
minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank
these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.
Remember freedom is never free! It's time we get the word out that
patriotism is not a sin, and the Fourth of July has more to it
than beer, picnics, and baseball games."

current Administration have now borrowed more money from foreign governments and
banks than the previous 42 U.S. presidents combined.
Throughout the first 224 years (1776-2000) of our nation's history, 42 U.S.
presidents borrowed a combined $1.01 trillion from foreign governments and
financial institutions according to the U.S. Treasury Department. In the past
four years alone (2001-2005), the Bush Administration has borrowed a staggering
$1.05 trillion.

President George W. Bush was scheduled
to visit the Episcopal Church outside Washington as part of his campaign
to restore his pathetic and dropping poll standings.
Bush's image manager made a visit to the Bishop, and said to him "We've
been getting a lot of bad publicity because of the president's position on
stem cell research, the Iraq war, hurricane Katrina, and the like. We'd
gladly make a contribution to the church of $100,000 if during your sermon
you'd say "the President is a saint."
The Bishop thought it over for a few moments and finally said, "The Church
is in really
desperate need of funds and I will agree to do it."
Bush showed up for the sermon and the Bishop began:
"I'd like to speak to you all this morning about our President. George
Bush is a liar, a cheat, and a low-intelligence weasel. He took the
tragedy of September 11 and used it to frighten and manipulate the
American people. He lied about weapons of mass destruction and invaded
Iraq for oil and money, causing the deaths of tens of thousands
and making the United States the most hated country on earth.
He appointed cronies to positions of power and influence, leading to
widespread death and destruction during Hurricane Katrina. He awarded
contracts and tax cuts to his rich friends so that we now have more
poverty in this country, and a greater gap between rich and poor, than
we've had since the Depression. He instituted illegal wiretaps when
getting a warrant from a secret court would have been a mere
administrative detail, had his henchmen lie to Congress about it,
then claimed he is above the law.
He has headed the most corrupt, bribe-inducing political party since
Teapot Dome. The national surplus has turned into a staggering national
debt of 7.6 Trillion, gas prices are up 85%, the people of America cannot
afford it...and vital research into global warming and stem cells is
stopped cold because he's afraid to lose votes from some religious kooks.
He is the worst example of a true Christian I've ever known. But compared
to Dick Cheney,
Karl Rove and Tom DeLay, George Bush is a saint.

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in
Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of
time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and
briefcases, one of the salesmen accidentally kicked over a table which
held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere! Without stopping or
looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly
missed boarding. All but one!
He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and
experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been
overturned.
He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them
to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain
his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the
apples were all over the floor.
He was glad he did. The sixteen-year-old girl was totally blind! She was
crying softly, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the
same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled
about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.
The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them
back on the table and helped her organize her display. As he did this, he
noticed that many had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in
another basket.
When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl,
"Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?" She
nodded through her tears. He continued, "I hope we didn't spoil your day
too badly."
As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered girl called out to
him, "Mister..." He paused and turned back to look into those blind eyes.
"Are you Jesus?" she asked.
Slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question
burning and bouncing about in his soul. "Are you Jesus?"
Do people mistake you for Jesus? That's our destiny, is it not? To be so
much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and
interact with a world that is blind to His love, life, and grace. If we
claim to know Him, we should live, walk, and act as He would. Knowing Him
is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church.
It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.
You are the apple of His eye. Even though we, too, have been bruised by a
fall, He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill
called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.
Let us live like we are worth the price He paid! When there is nothing
left but God,
that is when you find that God is all you need.
